TELUS World of Science – Edmonton (TWOSE) inspires life-long learning as we create a positive science and technology culture in our region.
The science centre is a non-profit organization designed to motivate people to learn about and contribute to advances in science and technology to strengthen themselves, their families, and their community.
It was full of awesome, hands-on, engaging & interactive fun! Our students watched entertaining and educational live science demonstrations performed right before their eyes on our Science Demo Stage. The students had a great chance to take an in-depth look at Terry’s epic 143 day journey, across 5,373 kilometres, from St. John’s, Newfoundland, to Thunder Bay, Ontario
The students from KG to Grade 2 take a journey to the rainforest where they have a bug’s eye view of a caterpillar and a praying mantis, along with many other creepy crawlies. They would be amazed by that giant bug experience, looking at the different insect species and how they interacted.
The students from Grade 3 to Grade 6 watched “Dream Big: Engineering Our World,” a great movie which is perfected the art of the under-an-hour Imax documentary and observed from the world’s tallest buildings to underwater robots and a solar car race across Australia
With its inspiring stories of human grit and aspiration, and extraordinary visuals for the world’s largest screens, Dream Big revealed the compassion and creativity that drived engineers to create better lives for people and a more sustainable future for us all.
Our students became Bubbleologists in this Bubble Fun program as they learnt all about the basics of bubbles! Through hands-on station activities, students investigated, explored and built with bubbles.
